Hands-on Mini Dental Implants Course: The Perfect Solution for Loose Dentures

Dr. R. Nicholas Cost,

Dr. Cost is a 2008 graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN. He has been placing Mini Dental Implants since 2014. His clinical focus is on natural tooth replacement using minimally invasive techniques using mini-dental implants and 3D digital chairside restorative solutions. He has obtained several hundred hours of continuing education on these topics and to date has placed several hundred mini-dental implants. He is proud to say that he has successfully restored the confidence and smiles of many of his patients using mini dental implants who either were told they were not candidates for traditional dental implants or simply could not afford traditional implant therapy. He looks forward to sharing with you how MDI’s will not only change your patients’ lives but will also transform the quality of your life as well. He maintains a full-time private practice in Laurens, SC.

This course features a comprehensive overview of the scientific aspects and clinical applications of the small diameter implants, MDL. Numerous topics, from treatment planning, to clinical procedures will be discussed. Placement techniques and management of the final prosthesis are conducted during the hands-on session of the workshop. MDL are easy to place, create minimal soft or hard-tissue trauma to the patient, and have the ability to be immediately loaded and provide function. In addition, this service can be rendered to a wider spectrum of patients due to their affordability and the fact that they are well tolerated by otherwise medically compromised patients.

Special emphasis is placed upon lower denture stabilization. System components, instrumentation, patient education materials and marketing resources are available for examination. This program is appropriate for those practitioners who are interested in adding MDL mini implant systems to their range of treatment modalities and for those already placing or restoring these implants

Course  Objectives:

  • Learn how MDL can benefit your existing denture patients
  • Learn how to properly evaluate and diagnose MDL candidates
  • Recognize the indications and contraindications for the use of MDL
  • Shown through slide presentation and video, the surgical procedure of placing MDL
  • Learn proper approaches to post-operative care of MDL
  • Learn how MDL can be incorporated into your practice
